Bio

Dr Jianpan Huang is an assistant professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He is also the Deputy Director of the Tam Wing Fan Brain Imaging Research Laboratory at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, and a junior fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM). Previously, he was a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Xiamen University in 2014 and 2017, respectively, and his PhD degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2021. In 2022, he was elected as a Junior Fellow of the ISMRM, and received the Summa Cum Laude Merit Award and Magna Cum Laude Merit Award from ISMRM in 2021 and 2020, respectively. Additionally, he was awarded the Young Investigator Award from the OCSMRM in 2020 and the International CEST Conference in 2018. His current research focuses on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) MRI, artificial intelligence in medical imaging and neuroscience. He has published 40 papers in top international journals such as Science Advances, Nature Communications, Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, and holds 7 authorized patents. He currently serves as an Associate Editor (Trainee) for the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and as a reviewer for journals such as Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, European Radiology, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering.
